WEST PALM BEACH — Tennis great Jennifer Capriati escaped the prospect of an embarrassing trial on charges that she allegedly beat and stalk an ex-boyfriend in 2013!
Capriati quietly completed 30 hours of community service at the Florida Hospital Pepin Heart Institute in Tampa, where she now lives, and went through four hours of anger management under a deal with the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office.
The case was dropped this morning during what was supposed to be a pre-trial hearing.
Gossip Extra broke the story: Capriati had been accused of pushing former boyfriend and former Florida State University golfer Ivan Brannan at a North Palm Beach gym Valentine’s Day, and of stalking him for months before that.
International Tennis Hall of Famer Capriati, 37, was a gold medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and won the French and Australian opens. She lived on Singer Island for several years but sold her apartment and moved back to her native Tampa after cops from two police departments were called over the course of a year to play peace-keepers between Capriati and Brannan.
