JUPITER INLET COLONY — The price of the Jupiter Inlet Colony house owned by singer/actress Olivia Newton-John where a contractor committed suicide has been slashed drastically after failing to attract buyers — and it’s now for sale at a $500,000-discount!

It’s another Gossip Extra exclusive: The star of Grease and Xanadu was having the house prepped for a sale to TV personality Rosie O’Donnell in August when contractor Christopher Pariseleti shot himself in a backroom.

Despite a religious ceremony described by a spywitness as “an exorcism” conducted in the house in an attempt to keep O’Donnell’s contract, the porky lesbian activist backed out of it and eventually bought something nice in Sarasota.

Newton-John’s Key West-style crib overlooking Jupiter Inlet’s historic lighthouse, 104 Lighthouse Drive, has lingered on an otherwise-hot market since, with the latest price listed at $5.7 million, according to MLS listings.

It was originally listed for $6.2 million. The Aussie icon and her husband, Tequesta medicinal-herb dealer John Easterling, bought the property  in 2009 for $4.1 million.

Then they paid contractor Pariseleti $2 million to remodel it completely.

Friends: Pressure of sale pushed contractor over the edge!

“They’re probably going to leave it off the market while the dust settles,” said a Jupiter Realtor who asked not to be identified. “You’ll probably see it pop up again next year.”

Public records show Pariseleti’s business was losing money this summer when he was asked to make sure the house was ship-shape.

Several of his friends said he had asked Newton-John, whom he considered a friend as much as a client, for a $300,000-loan a few days before his suicide!
