Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias has just sold his Miami home, and made a good chunk of change in the process.
The pop singer unloaded his waterfront mansion at 4411 Sabal Palm Road, in the swanky Bay Point just north of downtown Miami, for a whopping $6.7 million!
The property, which was not listed, boasts just 6,300 square feet of living space plus 100 feet of waterfront. And records show the singer of Tonight (I’m Loving You) bought the lot, then vacant, in 1998 for $640,000.
Iglesias, 38, had the custom-home built a year later with five bedrooms and five bathrooms over two floors.
“This is a home defined by privacy and exclusivity, conveniently situated near South Beach and downtown Miami,” said Iglesias’ Realtor, Esther Percal. “The Bay Point neighborhood is renowned for its secure setting and has become an ideal location for high-profile buyers.”
The buyer won’t be known officially until the transaction is recorded by Miami-Dade County over the next few days. But sources tell Gossip Extra that the check used in the purchase bears the name of big deal lawyer Stephen N. Zack, who was just named U.S. alternate to the United Nations’ General Assembly by President Barack Obama.
The singer, by the way, isn’t going anywhere. He’s moving into brand spanking new digs up the street in Bay Point.
