Miami Heat superstar LeBron James married Savannah Brinson, his high school sweetheart, in a ceremony attended by the couple’s two sons, several teammates and celebrities at The Grand Del Mar hotel yesterday in San Diego.
A source familiar with the nuptials tells me about 200 guests watched the two exchange vows. Among them: James’ two sons with Brinson, LeBron Jr. and Bryce; Heater Dwyane Wade and his honey, actress Gabrielle Union; Heat forward Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne; Coach Erik Spoelstra and his galpal, Nikki Sapp; rap mogul Jay Z and his wife, singer Beyonce; James’ mom Gloria, and several lifelong friends from James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio.
The exchange of rings between James, 28, and Brinson, 27, took place at the resort’s romantic chapel (see photos above) under pickle jar-tight security.
Like for NBA legend Michael Jordan‘s wedding in Palm Beach in May, staffers held umbrellas along the path to the chapel to shield the couple and guests from paparazzi on the grounds and in helicopters.
Guests were asked not to carry cell phones into the ceremony and party afterwards, and any of the estimated 150 people who worked on the wedding weekend signed confidentiality agreements, Gossip Extra can reveal.
Bosh tweeted a selfie in a black tux, and Wade twittered one of his resting legs before the wedding.
The banquet, also at the resort, included a brief concert by Jay Z and Beyonce and a 15-piece band!
