It’s official: The Bon Jovi tour is snakebit!
In the wake of guitarist Richie Sambora‘s ouster from the band, drummer Tico Torres, a Palm Beach Gardens resident, was rushed to a Mexican hospital yesterday afternoon, postponing indefinitely the supergroup’s Mexico City gig.
A source close to Torres tells me the drummer, 59, started experiencing abdominal pains shortly before the band was to leave their hotel for the sold out concert venue, Foro Sol.
And quickly, as the band sings, Torres cried for Something For The Pain!
“He was in serious pain,” the source said. “They rushed him to the hospital by ambulance and he had emergency surgery. The good thing is his appendix didn’t burst.”
Torres is expected to recover fully but could remain in the hospital through the weekend.
