Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in the PGA Tour rankings, but Woods’ win at Torrey Pines this week turns up the heat on McIlroy in a race for top dog that promises to be a nail biter.

Meanwhile, so happens that McIlroy just got the deed to his new home in Palm Beach Gardens this week.

And if you believe Nike’s new commercial that features the pair going shot for shot, McIlroy and Woods probably could lob balls into the other’s property: Woods lives five miles north as the crow flies, in Jupiter Island.

    Tiger has the assets at this point, but his best days are behind him. Especially his earning power and lucrative corporate deals. Rory has barely even started his earnings curve.
