CSI Investigating Chris Evert — on TV!

Chris Evert and Elizabeth Shue in CSI

Chris Evert and Elizabeth Shue during filming of tonight’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode (Special to Gossip Extra)

flag-ultra-localBoca Raton tennis legend Chris Evert is in the cross hairs of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Ok, it’s not for real. It’s for the popular CBS series.

Evert, 58, gets her first ever guest-starring role, and she said it’d be hard for her to fail at it.

“How can I screw up playing Chris Evert,” the winner of 18 Grand Slam championships said.

Series star Elizabeth Shue put the pressures on producers for a homicide to occur in the world of big-deal tennis, and got her way. Evert plays herself, and knows one of the suspects in the homicide.

Filming took place in late November in Los Angeles, just weeks after Shue guest-starred in Evert’s charity tournament in Delray Beach.

Check out the behind-the-scenes of the episode, 10 p.m. on CBS 4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale, and CBS 12 in West Palm Beach-Treasure Coast:

It was a great episode and we had the chance to watch two great tennis players on screen. CSI has been a wonderful show on primetime and I always look forward to the next episode. I never cared to watch before until my coworker at DISH told me to watch a few episodes. I watch all the primetime I can handle thanks to my DISH Hopper DVR, which can record all four major networks using the PrimeTime Anytime feature. This incredible feature has given me the freedom and benefit of getting all my shows and not just some of them. The thing that made stuff frustrating was working in the evenings. Now I no longer have issues of timers and conflicts. It’s the perfect solution to all the headaches and I can enjoy my shows.
