Tiger Woods started putting pressure on his ex-brother law to help him reconcile with Elin Nordegren in late December — when he got the word that Nordegren would co-host a lavish New Year’s Eve party at the home of a billionaire, Gossip Extra has learned.
The source, who’s close to Nordegren but asked not to be named, said Woods decided he wanted her back three years after their split when he heard she was getting friendly with coal-mine owner Chris Cline, Nordegren’s future neighbor.
Nordegren and the West Virginia swordsman are not an item, but Nordegren cancelled one NYE party to be able to help Cline host his.
Gossip Extra broke the story: Woods has been conspiring with Axel Nordegren, Elin’s big brother, to get back with her!
Meanwhile, Cline, 53, is the owner of the megayacht Mine Games, usually docked at the Palm Beach marina. He is listed as No. 360 on the Forbes 400 Richest Americans, with $1.2 billion to his name.
“She just wanted to hang out with neighbors,” the source said. “For some reason, that rankled Tiger.”
Cline, 53, is often seen in area nightspots with some of the area’s most beautiful women, including former Miss Florida Karina Brez.
An assistant at Cline’s office in Palm Beach Gardens said he’d have no comment. Woods’ playing in Abu Dhabi and tells reporters who ask him about Elin that he doesn’t comment on his private life. Nordegren couldn’t be contacted.
