First Romney, Now Vergara: The Curse of Marc Leder

Is  Boca Raton millionaire hedge funder Marc Leder the grim reaper of public relations?

Sure looks that way after the latest incident!

At first Leder, who also co-owns the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, was credited — or blamed — for Republican Mitt Romney losing the White House to incumbent Barack Obama in November.

You might remember Leder as the owner of the home in which Romney was secretly taped speaking to well-heeled supporters about the “47 percent” — voters who’d cast their ballots for Obama because, Romney claimed, they expect government handouts.

A short video of the speech went viral in September, and Romney was history.

Now this: A spywitness tells me Leder was a guest of honor at the Christmas party thrown last week at the $2 million-Delray Beach mansion of trust-funder Nick Loeb, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara‘s fiance!

“Marc hung out quite a bit with Nick and Sofia,” said the source. “At that point, everything was going well for them. Nick and Sofia looked in love to me.”

Fast forward a week, and Loeb and Vergara are dealing with a public relations nightmare after getting kicked out of a New Year’s Eve party — for yelling obscenities at one another!

Coincidence?
