It’s a real estate hole-in-one!

Rory McIlroy, the world’s No. 1 golfer and biggest earner on the PGA Tour this year, has signed a contract to buy one of Palm Beach County’s greatest houses.

Several real estate sources tell me McIlroy, who won the PGA Player of the Year award this week, came close to the $10.9 million-asking price for 2380 Old Gate Lane.

The Intracoastal-side property is in the swanky Old Gate enclave of Pam Beach Gardens.

He can afford it: McIlory’s made $13 million on the tour this year, plus untold millions in endorsements.

Once the 23-year-old Irishman settles in, meanwhile, look for PBG to look ever prettier: McIlroy is attached to the hip of Danish tennis champ Caroline Wozniacki!

The house, built in 2012, offers 10,000 square feet of unique designs. There are six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a world-class gym, two stories of Zen decor and a private deep-water dock in the back.

Nice touch: There’s a putting green!

McIlroy, this year’s winner of the PGA Championship, will likely play across the street, at PGA legend Jack Nicklaus‘ private course at The Bears Club.

The listing agent isn’t returning calls and the current owner, developer Christian Demers, couldn’t be contacted. But an entire website devoted to the sale of the property suddenly was taken down.

“Rory has been renting a place on the Loxahatchee River for several years,” said a golf source who asked not to be identified. “He likes it here. It’s only natural he’d buy something.”

McIlroy joins an impressive golf lineup calling the north side of Palm Beach County home, including Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Robert Allenby, Ernie Els, Gary Player, and many more.

Way over priced at $10M. Looks like a 5-star putt-putt. Rory has way better taste in cars-Lamborghini Gallardo- and women-Danish tennis champ girlfriend. By the way, is it just me or is McIlroy a spot on slightly older version of the frisky bag handler in Caddyshack…:)
