The 27th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival just kicked off, and already a few celebrities have been sighted at parties.
Chief among them was Tinseltown legend James Caan (Honeymoon in Vegas, Rollerball) who, at 72, still has some of the looks of his mob enforcer Sonny Corleone in The Godfather. Caan, who owns a condo in Aventura, picked up his Lifetime Achievement Award from festival organizer Gregory Von Hausch.

Fort Lauderdale native and big screen up-and-comer Bailee Madison picked up her Star on the Horizon prize. At just 13, Madison has worked in nearly 30 flicks, including Bridge to Terabithia and the horror fare Don’t Be Afraid in the Dark.
The festival showcases 200-plus indie movies from throughout the world and continues through Nov. 11.
