A-Rod Hitting on Girls Instead of Home Runs!

Miami product Alex Rodriguez has New York Yankees fans in meltdown mode after his antics at the ALCS game against the Detroit Tigers over the weekend.

With the Yanks staring at the wrong end of a playoff sweep, the slugger has been benched when word of his hitting on two hotties in the stands in the ninth inning of Game 1 instead of hitting home runs came to light.

Outraged witnesses described to the New York Post who the 37-year-old Rodriguez, who’s also busy selling his Miami Beach mansion for $38 million, used baseballs to send messages to women above the Yankees dugout.

It seems that Rodriguez wanted the women’s phone number, and got them when she sent the ball back to him with their digits written on it. They’ve been since been identified as Australian bikini models.

By the way, Rodriguez’ hitting slump continued through that game in the Bronx on Saturday, a game lost by the pinstripers.

Rodriguez, who’s supposed to be hooked up with ex-wrestler and fitness model Torrie Wilson, is not expected to play today.

Wilson, meanwhile, stands by her man. She tweeted this statement last night:
