Palm Beach NFL Owners Gang up on Obama!

No fewer than three — count ‘em — three owners of National Football League teams are among the organizers of one of the last Florida fundraisers for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney before the November 6 election.

Gossip Extra has learned that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, Washington Redskins part-owner Dwight Schar and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson are among those involved in two big-money anti-Barack Obama events Saturday afternoon in Palm Beach.

Home-builder and investor Schar is hosting a $2,500-reception at Casa Apava, his $52 million-oceanfront home at 1300 S. Ocean Blvd., about 4:30 p.m.

Schar and his wife Martha will then co-host the $50,000-a-head dinner at vulture capitalist Wilbur Ross‘ $11 million-place down the street on El Vedado.

Part-time Palm Beacher and Johnson & Johnson heir Woody, meanwhile, and billionaire home-builder Stephen Ross (no relation to Wilbur) figure prominently on the list of one percenters on the host committee.

What’s with the NFL and the GOP?

“It’s a business thing not a sports thing: Every businessman in the country is voting for Romney except those who get subsidies,”  said local Republican boss Sid Dinerstein. “Whether you’re in NASCAR or the owner of the Redskins, you’re not just a successful business guy. You have $1 billion or more.”

    Who else would you expect the one-percenter NFL owners to support? They get the stupid low and middle classes to pay for their stadiums with hard earned tax dollars from property taxes and then the owners personally rake in all the profits for their private corporations. Mitt takes care of his own (the million and billionaires), certainly not those on Veteran’s Pensions, Social Security or Medicare. Wake up and think before you vote yourself out of the middle class.
