GMA’s Sam Champion to Marry Miami Beach Boy!

ABC’s Good Morning America weatherman Sam Champion officially walked out of the closet this week and announced his engagement to South Florida artist Rubem Robierb!

The 51-year-old Champion, who once owned a weekend condo with another man in Miami Beach’s Biscayne Point, is believed to be preparing for a New Year’s Eve wedding to the 35-year-old fine-arts photographer Robierb in South Beach.

Champion outed himself in what appeared to be an off-the-cuff quote to the New York Times. ABC issued a statement, saying the two were introduced by friends in Miami several years ago.

Robierb, according to his bio, hails from Brazil. A poet at first, he progressively moved into visual arts.
