WSVN Weather Hottie Julie Durda Quits!

WSNV-Channel 7 morning meteorologist Julie Durda shocked her co-workers Friday by announcing she’d be leaving the station in December!

Newlywed Durda, a former San Francisco 49ers cheerleader who got thousands of men to give a hoot about the weather, was part of the station’s top-rated area morning show for four years!

She did not comment.

But a terse email sent to newsroom staffers says Durda will be “looking for other opportunities” while her “hard work, dedication and positive attitude will be missed.”

The tone of the email read to Gossip Extra hints at problems between Durda and the station.

An insider told me Durda’s contract is up and bad blood may have boiled to the surface during contract negotiations.

Durda’s tight outfits and curves have fueled testosterone-soaked discussions on sports talk radio for months. It even kicked off a Twitter feud between Durda and WQAM-560 AM morning personality Joe Rose.

Pouty Durda eventually shut down her Twitter account.

I heard Joe Rose talking about this. He has a serious crush on her. Even though she and he are both married, the guy continually talks about her. I wonder what the deal is.
