Former South Palm Beach Mayor Marty Millar was arrested after he clocked an off-duty cop he accused of scamming on a hot brunette originally escorted by Millar to area bars, Gossip Extra has learned.

Millar, 66, a former North Bergen (N.J.) Police officer, just walked up to his alleged victim at Dirty Martini in Palm Beach Gardens and whacked him over the head with a Mag-Lite police flashlight shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday.

The off-duty officer alleged assaulted by Millar was identified as Robert Williams, 38, a West Palm Beach patrolman.

Millar was arrested by Palm Beach Gardens police and is still being held at the Palm Beach County lockup.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer with violence.

A source with intimate knowledge of the incident said Millar was spotted having drinks with retired and current lawmen at the Angry Moon Cigars lounge Wednesday night in Palm Beach Gardens.

I’m told the divorced Millar showed up with the much younger woman way too pretty for him! He told friends they met hours earlier after she tried to race Millar from traffic light to traffic light.

In time, the lady started chatting up Williams, who eventually left the Angry Moon with her.

“Marty went berserk when he noticed they were gone,” one source told Gossip Extra. “He was pacing back and forth in the parking lot, saying he was going to get (Williams).”

Millar hopped in his Jaguar and eventually tracked down the couple at the Downtown at the Gardens’ Dirty Martini.

“He watched them for a little while from the outside then just walked in and clocked the cop,” the spywitness said.

    Millar is mentally ill. He needs to get help before he kills someone or someone kills him. Drag racing? Fighting over a girl he doesn’t even know at 66+ years old????

    Marty was a good Mayor. Always looking out for the best interest of the residents of SPB. Nobody can deny that. Unfortunatly his doctors have not found the right medication which would help his chemical imbalance rather than doctors prescribing medications that they are profiting from.

    This guys has had numerous complaints throughout the local bars. He has documented incidents at Delray and Boca Raton too.
