Fort Philbin: Miami Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin’s first South Florida house (Click on the photo for the virtual tour)
It’s a time of firsts for Miami Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin.
His first win with the Fins came at yesterday’s home opener against the not-so-scary Oakland Raiders.
And Philbin is settled in his first house in South Florida – something that looks like a modern version of a Middle Ages fort!
Of course, Gossip Extra‘s got the photos!
Philbin, 51, one of the stars of the HBO series Hard Knocks, picked this five-bedroom suburban mansion in the gated Northstar Estates in Davie as his personal headquarters.
Philbin and his wife Diane plunked down $1.78 million for the rock pile shortly after their arrival in April, according to Broward County records.

Like the rest of us, he got a mortgage.
Unlike the rest of us, it’s a $1 million-loan!
Fort Philbin has six bedrooms, seven baths, a gated “motorcourt” and a “resort-style” pool, according to real estate websites.

And a moat to keep out Chad Johnson! (Nah, kidding about that!)
It was probably about location, location, location for Philbin: The home is minutes from both the Dolphins training facility in Davie and Sun Life Stadium.
