Palm Beach GOP to its members: Bring back the seashells!

Shocking!

Sticky-fingered members of the Republican Party of Palm Beach County who attended a lobster boil fundraiser at Palm Beach‘s tony Beach Club last week stole the table decorations!

And now, party honcho Susanna Barasch has made a desperate plea for the culprits to return the stolen goods — no questions asked!

What goods?

Big decorative seashells that the local GOP rented for the $95-per-person fiesta!

“Some people have brought them back,” Barasch said before refusing to answer further questions.

Here’s the email she sent hundreds of party operatives:

Subject: Lobster Boil Shells

Dear Lobster Boil Attendees,  

Thank you for supporting our 11th Annual Lobster Boil! I hope you enjoyed the event this year. Unfortunately, many of the sea shells went missing from the tables. These shells were rented and the Party will be responsible for footing the bill for the missing shells if they are not retrieved. That’s money that could have gone to the upcoming elections. If you or someone you know took home a shell or two, we would greatly appreciate their return! Thank you for helping us!

    You got to love the Republicans they will steal anything that isn’t nailed down. And you middle class voters want to trust them with your Social Security and Medicare?

    Nonsense, I was there and the decorations were a few scattered sea shells. It is perfectly understandable how one would think the shells would be thrown out after the party, and take one home. It was a great party and everyone had a good time.
