Who’s Your Daddy Now? Pervy Ex-Weatherman Rob Lopicola Stays in Jail

Former WPTV-Channel 5 weatherman and suspected pedophile Rob Lopicola, who liked his alleged underage preys to call him “daddy,” will remain in jail as a Palm Beach County criminal court judge refused to lower his bail this morning.

Lopicola, 42, has been at the county lockup for a month since his arrest on charges that he had sex with two underage boys he met online.

Roberta Glass, Lopicola’s mom, flew down from Long Island for the hearing but told reporters she couldn’t afford paying the amount it would take to see Lopicola out pending resolution of his case.

With a bail bondsman, Lopicola would have to come up with 10 percent of the current $130,000-bond.

Lopical, who worked as a bartender and stripper in a gay bar in Wilton Manors at the time of his arrest, has been declared indigent. He was assigned a taxpayer’s funded public defender.

Lopicola’s attorney asked that bail be reduced to $35,000 but Judge Stephen Rapp refused.

Lopicola is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old Boca Raton boy and a 17-year-old West Palm Beach high school track star after carrying online chats. The mother of the 17-year-old found Lopicola cowering in the shower when she arrived home.
