Michael Vick: I Want Dogs Again — For My Kids

Just days after bagging a wife in his over-the-top wedding at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Philadelphia Eagles star Michael Vick says he also wants to buy a couple dogs!

“Now that I can, I would like to have my own dogs,” the quarterback told CNN host Piers Morgan. “I have learned my lesson and want people to see my good side.”

It’s for his kids, Vick claims.

“I don’t want to take that dream (of dog ownership) away from them,” he said. “That’s selfish!”

The lesson came in 2007, when Vick was convicted of running an illegal dog-fighting ring in which pit bulls fought to the death. Weaker dogs were hung, drowned or simply shot on his property near Atlanta.

Vick served 19 months in prison in connection with the cruelty and was banned from owning pooches for three years.

The ban is coming to an end next month.

So, why would anyone entrust a pet to Vick?

“Because I legally can,” Vick says.

    He shouldn’t be allowed to raise kids if his judgement is so askew that he would consider dog fighting and dog killing is a sport.
    I am sure he will teach his kids…”It is okay to do whatever you want! Just don’t get caught! And if you do get caught, feign sincere ignorance or just say “that is just part of the black culture. You are all racists”
    Shame on his fans and SHAME that he has fans!

    He is not allowed to have dogs as part of his sentence. END OF STORY ! ! He can explain to his kids the reasons he cant have dogs. This way his kids will learn what this turd did was WRONG ! ! Yes his kids will suffer because of the sins of the father. They will survive it all and, hopefully, learn from it.
