The Miami Heat took a victory lap through downtown Miami this morning, three days after winning the NBA Finals.

It was the franchise’s second trophy in six years, and the honor of carrying the 2012 hardware on his Heat-red double-decker bus belonged to Dwyane Wade (above).

With team mascot Burnie leading the way in the cherry-picker of a fire truck, Heat players, coaches and staff and their families meandered through the downtown streets while waving at thousands of fans gathered on sidewalks and office windows.

The more familiar faces perched on the tour buses also included LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Game 5 hero Mike Miller, local product Udonis Haslem, Coach Erik Spoelstra and their boss, Pat Riley.

And from his seat, Heat owner Micky Arison just twittered this photo (below) of the team’s arrival to the parade’s final destination, the Triple A.
