Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is planning to get hitched June 30 in Miami Beach.

A source at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach who asked not to be named because of a confidentiality agreement with the ball player says Vick is scheduled to marry longtime galpal Kijafa Frink in one of the resort’s beachfront ballrooms.

“They’re not going to do it on the beach, but the ceremony and the banquet are going to have beachy themes,” the source said. “They wanted something very romantic and first-class.”

Upward of 300 guests, mostly NFL figures, friends and family members are expected at the resort next week.

Believe it or not, that’s an “intimate” wedding by NFL standards!

Guests reportedly include Vick’s former mentor and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy, current Eagles coach Andy Reid, and Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, among others.

Frink, 30, and Vick, 31, were engaged shortly before he surrendered to federal authorities in 2007 to serve a 23-month prison sentence for his running a gruesome dog-fighting ring.

The couple has three children and Frink owns PNK Elephant, a fashion accessory boutique in Philadelphia.

      That was a very helpful comment, Paula. I assume you know Ms Frink personally to be able to state that so definitively. And don’t bother with ‘well if she’s marrying HIM she must be sh*t too’. I suspect you have no idea what either of them have been up to in the last 4 years, like working with the Humane Society to talk to young people about what a bad choice dog fighting is- you just know about the conviction. Perhaps you want everyone convicted of a crime to be put away forever or maybe killed, but in the USA we still base our justice system on the concept that people can learn a lesson and change. You’ve got to give them a chance to ‘put their money where their mouth is’ before condemning them for life. Time will tell if they mean what they say.
