AutoNation boss Michael Jackson just paid $2.1 million for a sprawling penthouse at Fort Lauderdale’s La Rive, according to Broward County records.
Jackson’s new digs, just south of Sunrise Boulevard, include four bedrooms over 6,400-square-feet of what’s described as “high-quality, custom interiors with magnificent views of the Atlantic, hand-painted tray ceilings, exquisitely designed chandeliers and fans, Venetian plaster walls, glass with marble floors and a floating-glass wet bars.”
The apartment, in a Lauderdale Beach condo complex on the Intracoastal, was on the market for nearly two years and once was “offered” for $3.5 million.
The taxes will set Jackson back 30 K a year, but the guy can certainly afford it. Forbes says Jackson’s compensation package last year topped $6 million!
Jackson made AutoNation the largest automobile retail company in America.
