U.S. Rep. Allen West’s new house at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens sets him back $3,000-a-month in rent

Here’s U.S. Rep. Allen West‘s new crib in Palm Beach Gardens!

Tea Party Republican West recently told reporters he moved into the district for which he is running. Wouldn’t say where the house is, and whether he is renting.

I hear West has a one-year lease on the four-bedroom, 2,400-square-foot home at 419 Eagleton Cove Way.

The zero lot-line house on a man-made pond with a large fountain is inside the gated enclave of The Cove at Eagleton.

The rookie congressman moved June 1 to stave off criticism that he doesn’t live in the 18th Congressional District, which covers parts of Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. He is running against Martin County Sheriff Bob Crowder in the primaries.

West was elected two years ago in the 22nd District in Broward and Palm Beach counties but redistricting made that district more Democratic.

West didn’t comment but Gossip Extra would like to remind him to pay for his May HOA fees in Plantation. His neighborhood group set him a letter May 14 reminding him to pay for the month’s $574.24 maintenance fee.
