Big deal West Palm Beach attorney David Prather was pinched by Florida Highway Patrol overnight and charged with drunk driving.
Details about the arrest are still sketchy, and officials aren’t returning calls on Mother’s Day.
But the website of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office shows Prather, 47, a partner in the law firm of Clark, Fountain, La Vista, Prather, Keen & Littky-Rubin, was released about 7 a.m. today on his own recognizance.
Records show he was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.
Prather, who specializes in auto negligence and car accidents, sits on the Federal Magistrate Selection Committee, which recommends magistrates to the federal courts.
Officials with his law firm have yet to return calls for comments.
Prather also represented Jim and Muriel Sitton when they filed a lawsuit against the parents of Thanksgiving killer Paul Merhige, who mowed down the Sittons’ family in 2009.
