Last night in Magic blue for Dwight Howard?

The big stories this a.m. in South Florida:

– While the name Lynn Szymoniak may not mean much to you, the Palm Beach Gardens attorney became a hero to homeowners when she blew the whistle on illegally foreclosures. And for that, Szymoniak got a huge payday this week: $18 million! Her dough’s coming from the $25 billion-settlement that the federal government and the attorney generals of 49 states just signed with banks. The 63-year-old Szymoniak was one of the main sources for a 60 Minutes segment on CBS last year that showed how banks illegally expedited the foreclosure process by robo-signing paperwork. – Boca Raton Police just put an end to the great underwear heist! Cops nabbed two suspects who allegedly stole as many as 600 lingerie items from Victoria’s Secret stores at the Town Center Mall in Boca and the Boynton Beach Mall. The suspects mostly sought panties and bras from the Very Sexy, Gorgeous and Miraculous collections. The hunt for the thieves was on for most of this year and recently heated up with the two returned some of the stolen items to a Victoria’s Secret store in Miami Beach. Tysheka Pink, 29, and Katina Summerset, 39, were charged with organized fraud, grand theft and retail theft. (Click here for the rest of the story from the Sun-Sentinel)

– And finally, the Miami Heat lost to the Magic 98-104 in Orlando last night, in another Battle of Florida that ended in overtime. The game, however, could have been Magic superstar Dwight Howard‘s last in an Orlando uniform. He’s expected to be traded, possibly to the Los Angeles Lakers, before Thursday’s deadline.
