Law Enforcement Source: Chris Brown Will be Charged With Robbery!

A law enforcement source says a robbery charge was expected to be filed against singer Chris Brown by the Miami-Dade County State Attorney‘s Office today but prosecutors are “dotting their Is” and “crossing their Ts” because of Brown’s celebrity status!

“If this had been Joe Schmo off the street, he would already have been charged,” the source told Gossip Extra. He asked that his name not be used. “The report handed to prosecutors is very strong. There are five witnesses all saying that Mr. Brown snagged a phone from someone’s hand and took off.

“In all my years, I’ve never seen a report of that type not leading to a charge.”

The witnesses include California rapper Tyga, who partied with Brown on the night of the incident, Feb. 19; two bodyguards; hip-hop fan Shanae Spann, whose iPhone was allegedly taken by Brown; and a second fan whose camera-phone was briefly seized by a bodyguard but handed it back to her.

I’m told by the insider that detectives are waiting for the green light from the State Attorney to drive to Orlando, where Brown is recording new music and attending the NBA All Star Weekend, and arrest him. There is the possibility will give Brown a chance to travel back to Miami Beach on his own and surrender.

Brown is scheduled to perform at Orlando’s VAiN nightclub Sunday night.

One thing is clear, however: Brown is in a world of legal hurt. The arrest will be considered a violation of his five-year probation for a 2009 felony assault conviction in California. Brown pleaded guilty to beating then-galpal Rihanna, the singer of Rude Boys.

“He’s going to be in jail for months without being able to bond out,” the source said. “He won’t get much for this robbery. But they will violate him for getting arrested.”

Brown’s bodyguards also told police Brown has made a habit of grabbing camera-phones from fans who take his pictures.

“He’s done it dozens of times,” the police source added.

Actually go watch the video of the girls, and to say Tyga and his own bodyguards are witnesses is assinine, really? Tyga going to risk being called a snitch by the hip hop world? Don’t think so. His bodyguards are going to snitch on their meal-ticket? Not likely. The video of the women ‘fans’ show them very clearly not wanting to snitch, but rather get their phone back. I am sure Chris will give them a custom iphone for their troubles and the charges will be dropped. Futhermore, on the irony front the video of the girls shows one of the girls telling the cameraman to stop filming them, as she does not want this on camera. LOL can’t make this stuff up! Get em Chris Breezy!
