While the sale has yet to show up in public records, SouthBeachCondoBlog.com reports the deal for the 5,803-square-foot, 40th-floor penthouse was consummated last week. The buyer, a U.S. businessman, is not a household name, according to the blog.

According to property records, Clark was the condo‘s original owner. He bought it in 2004 for $9 million. MLS listings show he wanted $27 million when the four-bed, four-bath digs were first listed in 2010.

The penthouse is located atop the Setai South Beach, a luxury hotel that caters mostly to celebrities. Like the hotel, owned by Singapore-based GHM, the penthouse exudes a Zen-like feeling with rare Thai furniture and a sweeping view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Clark, by the way, isn’t leaving South Florida. He still owns a beachfront mansion 90 minutes north, in Palm Beach. It’s appraised for $40 million!
